Traditional food of the area includes all manner of fish: dorada - sea bream, gambas - prawns, merluza - hake, emperador - sword fish, atun - tuna to name a few.
Paella is also a specialty - Valencian style with rabbit and snails or for the less bold with chicken and peppers or prawns and white fish.
You’ll find plenty of places serving tapas - patatas bravas, ensalada rusa,
albondigas, calamares and boquerones fritas etc. that go down well with a cana of cerveza (beer) at lunchtime or in the evening.
